Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Galerie Minuit ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our platform. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

We are committed to transparency about the technologies we use. This document tells you what cookies we set, why we set them, and how you can control them.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to site operators.

Similar technologies we may also use include:

  • Local storage — data stored in your browser that persists until cleared
  • Session storage — data stored temporarily for the duration of your browser session

3. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for three purposes only:

  1. Essential operation — keeping you logged in, protecting against cross-site request forgery, and maintaining session security
  2. Functional preferences — remembering your cookie consent choices and display preferences
  3. Analytics — understanding how visitors use the platform so we can improve it

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with ad networks. We do not engage in cross-site tracking or behavioural profiling for marketing purposes.

4. Cookie Categories

4.1 Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)

These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be declined.

| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | |-------------|----------|---------|----------| | sb-*-auth-token | Supabase | Authentication session token — keeps you logged in securely | Session / 1 year | | sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | Supabase | PKCE code verifier for secure OAuth flows | Session | | CSRF-Token | Galerie Minuit | Cross-site request forgery protection | Session |

Legal basis: These cookies are exempt from consent requirements under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive because they are strictly necessary for the provision of the service you have requested.

4.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience. You may decline them, but some features may not work as expected.

| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | |-------------|----------|---------|----------| | cc_cookie | vanilla-cookieconsent | Stores your cookie consent preferences | 182 days | | theme | Galerie Minuit | Remembers your display theme preference | 1 year |

Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

4.3 Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the platform by collecting anonymous, aggregated information.

| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | |-------------|----------|---------|----------| | ph_* | PostHog | Anonymous usage analytics — page views, feature usage, performance metrics | 1 year |

Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). These cookies are only set after you give consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.

PostHog data handling: PostHog is self-hosted or EU-hosted. We do not send analytics data to US servers without appropriate safeguards. Analytics data is aggregated and does not include personally identifiable information.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Payment Processing (CCBill)

When you access the payment page or complete a transaction, CCBill (our payment processor) may set cookies necessary for payment security and fraud prevention. These cookies are governed by CCBill's privacy policy. We do not control these cookies.

No Other Third Parties

We do not embed social media widgets, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics beyond PostHog. We do not allow any third party to set cookies on our platform for their own purposes.

6. Managing Your Cookies

Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit Galerie Minuit, you will see a cookie consent banner. You can:

  • Accept all — enables essential, functional, and analytics cookies
  • Reject non-essential — enables only essential cookies (which cannot be declined)
  • Customise — choose which optional categories to allow

Changing Your Preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by:

  1. Clicking Cookie Settings in the site footer
  2. Visiting Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences (when logged in)

Browser Controls

Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are set
  • Delete individual or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific or all sites
  • Set preferences for first-party vs third-party cookies

Note: Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using the platform.

Browser-Specific Guides

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, Search, and Services → Cookies

7. Do Not Track (DNT)

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT. We do not currently respond to DNT signals, but we minimise tracking by design — we do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking regardless of DNT settings.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you via the cookie consent banner or in-app notification.
