Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 2026 · Version: 1.0 (DRAFT) · Jurisdiction: United Kingdom & European Union

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of the Terms of Service. It sets out the content and conduct that is absolutely prohibited on Galerie Minuit ("the Platform"). Breaching this AUP may lead to content removal, account suspension, permanent termination, reporting to law enforcement, and — where applicable — civil or criminal liability.

This AUP is written to satisfy the requirements of:

  • the Online Safety Act 2023 (United Kingdom), including the duties on user-to-user services in respect of illegal content and content harmful to children;
  • the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) insofar as we offer services into the EU;
  • the Protection of Children Act 1978, the Criminal Justice Act 1988 s.160, and the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 s.62–68 (UK);
  • 18 U.S.C. § 2252 / § 2252A and § 2257 (United States) for any US-nexus content;
  • the standards required by our payment processors and card-scheme rules for adult-industry merchants.

1. Who may use the Platform

You may use the Platform only if all of the following are true:

  1. You are 18 years of age or older. There is no "close enough" — 17 is not permitted under any circumstances.
  2. You have completed our age-assurance process. Depending on jurisdiction this may involve facial age estimation, government-ID check, credit-card check, or an equivalent method operated by a third-party provider.
  3. You are legally permitted to access adult content under the laws of the country from which you access the Platform.
  4. You are not currently banned from the Platform.
  5. You are not on any UK, EU, UN, OFAC, or HMT sanctions list.
  6. You represent yourself truthfully — no impersonation, no catfishing, no fake identities.

Couples and groups may share a single account type where expressly provided; every individual visible in profile content must themselves meet the eligibility criteria above and must have consented to appear.

2. Zero-tolerance: immediate permanent ban + referral to authorities

The following are Category A violations. We will remove the content immediately, permanently ban every associated account, preserve evidence, and report to the relevant authority. There is no warning, no appeal path, no "first offence grace."

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualised content depicting a person under 18 — real, simulated, cartoon, AI-generated, or rendered. Reports go to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and to UK law enforcement.
  • Grooming or any attempt to contact, befriend, or sexualise a minor on or off-Platform.
  • Non-consensual intimate images (NCII / "revenge porn") — sharing or threatening to share intimate images of a person without their consent. An offence under the Online Safety Act 2023 s.188 (consolidating and extending the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015 s.33).
  • "Deepfake" or AI-generated intimate images of a real identifiable person without that person's clear consent.
  • Sexual content depicting, promoting, or arranging rape or sexual assault, even if "roleplay."
  • Content that advocates, organises, or finances terrorism or that constitutes a terrorism offence under the Terrorism Act 2000 / 2006. Reports go to the Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit (CTIRU).
  • Extreme pornographic images as defined by s.63 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 — including content depicting acts threatening a person's life, serious injury to the anus/breasts/genitals, bestiality, or necrophilia.
  • Human trafficking or sexual servitude facilitation in any form.
  • Incest content, content depicting "age play" where one party is presented as a minor, or content sexualising school or child-coded settings.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

The following are prohibited. Enforcement is graduated (warning → content removal → suspension → termination) based on severity, recurrence, and user intent, as set out in our Community Guidelines.

3.1 Commercial sexual activity

To protect members, to comply with UK law, and to maintain our payment-processing relationships, the following are not permitted anywhere on the Platform:

  • Escorting, prostitution, or any advertisement of sexual services in exchange for money, goods, cryptocurrency, gifts, "tributes," or anything of material value.
  • "Sugar" arrangements presented as paid companionship or paid sexual access.
  • Linking to, promoting, or routing users to external commercial-sex platforms (OnlyFans, ManyVids, paid cam sites, escort directories, etc.) from profiles, messages, posts, or media. Personal mentions of creator accounts are tolerated only when they are clearly non-solicitation and non-promotional.
  • Posting rate cards, "menus," Cash App / PayPal / crypto tags, or similar payment solicitations.
  • Sex-trafficking facilitation of any kind — including content that appears to advertise third parties.

This prohibition exists for three independent reasons: (a) UK law — the Policing and Crime Act 2009 s.14 and the Sexual Offences Act 2003 criminalise controlling prostitution for gain and causing/inciting prostitution for gain; (b) card-scheme and merchant-acquirer rules — Visa, Mastercard, and all major adult payment processors prohibit the processing of transactions connected to commercial sexual services; (c) member safety — a lifestyle community and a commercial-sex marketplace are different products with different risks.

3.2 Sexual content rules

Consensual adult content between verified 18+ members is permitted. The following is not:

  • Content depicting anyone who has not clearly consented to appear.
  • Content uploaded by someone other than the subject, unless the uploader can demonstrate the subject's consent (for example, a couple uploading a photo of themselves).
  • "Outing" content — posting someone's identity, photographs, or intimate details without their consent, whether on-Platform or off.
  • Secret recordings, "creepshots," hidden-camera content, upskirt/downblouse content, or any image captured without the subject's knowledge.
  • Content produced under duress, coercion, blackmail, or deception.
  • Bestiality, zoophilia, or any sexual content involving animals.
  • Content depicting excretory functions (scat, watersports) where this is illegal in the jurisdiction of upload or viewing.
  • Content depicting illegal drug use combined with sexual activity.
  • Content that depicts or simulates serious injury, mutilation, or death.

3.3 Harassment, abuse, and hateful conduct

  • Threats of violence, including threats framed as "jokes."
  • Stalking, including persistent unwanted contact after a user has blocked you, asked you to stop, or ignored repeated messages.
  • Doxxing — publishing or threatening to publish another person's real name, address, workplace, family members, phone number, or other identifying information without consent.
  • Hate speech or harassment on the basis of a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010 (age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation).
  • Organised harassment or "pile-ons" — coordinating groups of accounts to target another member.
  • Body-shaming, kink-shaming, orientation-shaming, or serophobia.
  • Content that promotes or celebrates suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. We follow the Samaritans media guidelines and the requirements of OSA Schedule 5/7.

3.4 Fraud, scams, and financial exploitation

  • Romance scams, "pig-butchering" / crypto scams, advance-fee fraud, and any attempt to extract money through emotional manipulation.
  • Blackmail, sextortion, or any threat to release content unless a demand is met. This is a criminal offence under the Theft Act 1968 s.21 and will be reported to law enforcement.
  • Impersonating another person, a celebrity, or a Platform employee.
  • Phishing, credential harvesting, or any attempt to move members off-Platform to a site designed to capture login details or payment information.
  • Recruitment for multi-level marketing, cryptocurrency pump-and-dump schemes, "investment opportunities," or commercial pyramid arrangements.
  • Fake or misleading profile information designed to induce a transaction or romantic response.

3.5 Platform integrity and security

  • Attempting to circumvent age verification, moderation, rate-limiting, blocking, or geographic restrictions.
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade bans.
  • Scraping, crawling, or harvesting member data, profiles, photos, or messages by any automated means.
  • Uploading or transmitting malware, viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, or any code intended to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to systems.
  • Attacking the Platform (DoS/DDoS, credential stuffing, SQL injection, XSS, rate-limit abuse, etc.).
  • Reverse-engineering the Platform, except to the narrow extent permitted by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 s.50B.
  • Using AI/ML-generated content to impersonate a real identifiable person, to fabricate evidence against another member, or to misrepresent yourself during verification.
  • Selling, renting, or transferring your account. Accounts are non-transferable.

3.6 Illegal goods and services

  • Selling, offering, or soliciting controlled drugs (Misuse of Drugs Act 1971) or any prescription medicine without authorisation.
  • Selling, offering, or facilitating the transfer of firearms, knives, or other regulated weapons (Firearms Act 1968, Offensive Weapons Act 2019).
  • Tobacco or nicotine sales to anyone where prohibited by local law.
  • Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or goods obtained through fraud.
  • Any service that is illegal in the jurisdiction of the offeror, the recipient, or the Platform.

3.7 Intellectual property

  • Uploading content you do not own or do not have permission to share. See the DMCA Policy for the takedown process used for copyright complaints — note that we apply the same takedown process for UK copyright complaints under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 even where the DMCA does not technically apply.
  • Unauthorised use of trademarks, logos, or likenesses.
  • Evading our repeat-infringer policy (three strikes — see DMCA Policy).

4. Use of AI tools and AI-generated content

You may use AI tools to help you write bios, captions, or messages. You must not:

  • Use AI to generate intimate imagery of a real identifiable person without that person's express consent. This includes deepfakes, face-swaps, and nudifier outputs.
  • Pass off AI-generated photos or videos as your own real photos. You must clearly label AI-generated profile media as AI-generated. Undisclosed AI photos are treated as impersonation.
  • Use AI to generate content that would otherwise be prohibited under sections 2 or 3 of this AUP — AI generation is not a loophole.

5. Enforcement

5.1 How we detect violations

  • Automated moderation on upload: NudeNet for adult-content classification, Sightengine for safety classifiers (violence, illegal content, CSAM signals), PhotoDNA-equivalent hashing for known CSAM, text classifiers on messages and posts.
  • Human moderation, including review of content flagged by automated systems and of member reports.
  • Member reports via in-product report buttons on every profile, message, photo, video, post, and event page.
  • Trusted-flagger channels with UK and EU safety NGOs and law-enforcement liaison.

5.2 Enforcement ladder

We use the graduated enforcement ladder defined in the Community Guidelines — warning, content removal, temporary suspension, permanent termination. Category A violations (section 2 above) skip every rung and proceed straight to permanent ban and referral.

5.3 Appeals

Every enforcement action (other than Category A actions involving CSAM / terrorist content) has a right of appeal via our Complaints Procedure. The appeal window is 28 days from notification. Category A actions involving CSAM or terrorist content are not appealable to us — any dispute must be resolved directly with law enforcement.

6. Reporting a violation

If you see content or behaviour that breaches this AUP:

  • Use the in-product Report button wherever possible — it captures the correct metadata for us to investigate quickly.
  • For emergencies where someone's life is at immediate risk, contact emergency services first (999 in the UK, 112 in the EU).
  • For CSAM specifically, you may also report directly to the Internet Watch Foundation at iwf.org.uk.
  • For general complaints, use our Complaints Procedure.

We will not retaliate against members who report in good faith.

7. Changes to this AUP

We may update this AUP as our product, the law, or the threat landscape evolves. Material changes will be notified to registered members by in-app notification and email at least 14 days before taking effect. The current version is always available at this URL.
