Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 2026
1. Our Commitment
Galerie Minuit is committed to making our platform accessible to all adults, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to the tools and community features our platform provides.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
2. Standards We Follow
Our platform is designed and developed with the following standards in mind:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility
- EN 301 549 — the European standard for ICT accessibility
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (US) — where applicable
3. Measures We Take
Galerie Minuit takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML — we use proper heading structure, landmarks, and ARIA attributes throughout the platform
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are accessible via keyboard
- Colour contrast — we maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text
- Focus indicators — visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements
- Alternative text — images include descriptive alt text where appropriate
- Responsive design — the platform adapts to different screen sizes, zoom levels, and orientations
- Motion preferences — we respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query and reduce or eliminate animations for users who request it - Form labels — all form inputs have associated labels
4. Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, certain content on our platform may present accessibility challenges:
- User-generated images — photos uploaded by users may not include alt text. We are working on tools to encourage or automate alt text for user photos
- Real-time chat — live chat features may present challenges for screen reader users. We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our messaging experience
- Third-party content — some embedded third-party content (e.g., payment forms via CCBill) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control
We are committed to addressing these limitations and will update this statement as improvements are made.
